Akshat Singh is an 8-year old boy from Kolkata, India. He loves to dance for his entire life, but his priority is to finish his studies and become intelligent. He admires Salman Khan’s dance steps.
In 2011, Akshat started his way when his video, while dancing to the tune of a Hindi music hits a nearly 200,000 views on youtube. The video was made in their own family room of his house in Calcutta, India. The funny thing about the video that made it super funny is that, he’s not wearing anything except for his underwear.
Then after three years, he joined the India’s Got Talent and floored the judges. His YouTube video received a huge success and got a CNN coverage, Good Morning America, People and E! Online. Akshat made it to the semi-final round in India’s Got Talent. He was also invited to appear in the
Ellen DeGeneres show. Because of his appearance on this shows, and his stimulating moves and witty facial expressions, he became an overnight sensation in the United States. He has been the first ever, non-celebrity Indian kid who featured in the Emmy-award winning show.
Akshat was one of the contestants in the reality dance show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7. He is the first participant to receive the coveted golden shoes for season 7, after doing the
Michael Jackson moves.
Akshat is also performing in the Comedy Nights with Kapil TV series as Dhamaka, brother of Palak.
