Rajeev Arora is a celebrity chef in the Bollywood film industry, widely known as one of the contestants in the cooking reality show-Foodistan, which aired on NDTV Good Times. He hails from Mumbai, India, and spent most of his life in Surrey, Canada. He got a Diploma in Hotel Management from Pune Institute of Hotel Management in 1993 and studied hotel management in British Columbia, Canada. He also interned at JW Marriott Hotel, present in Hong Kong, where he became interested in cooking and shifted from hotel management to cooking.
Rajeev Arora started working as a Chef De Partie in some of Canada’s famous hotels like Pan Pacific Vancouver, and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Later, he worked as a sous chef for some years before becoming the Regional Executive Chef in Oakwood Asia Pacific in July 2010. For a few years, he worked as an executive chef in hotels like Hilton Mumbai, and Vertical Hotels and Resorts. And became a corporate executive chef at Civic Hotel and Century Group. In the reality show, Rajeev Arora created innovative dishes to compete against the rival Pakistani chefs. Though he cooks various international cuisines, he still prefers to cook traditional South Indian food, Idli and sambar, for his mother.
