Sandeep Shirodkar is a well-known background music composer and a record producer in India. He has made several film scores for famous movies such as Dabangg, Bodyguard, Prince and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.

Sandeep got an ear for music from his father. His father Mr Hemant Shirodkar, played guitar as a sessions musician for Kalyanji and Anandji- the composer duo. Sandeep’s father took him to the session recordings. He kickstarted his professional career at a young age of twelve years after he played his first ever recording session at this age.

His father was the one who taught him how to play a synthesizer. Sandeep realized the calling of his life at a very young age itself. Shirodkar regards Viju Shah (son of Shri Kalyanji) as his guru and it was under him that he worked as an apprentice. Sandeep has also worked as an arranger for other composers.

He has worked with almost all the musicians in the industry. Sandeep has a habit of experimenting with new sounds and he gets inspired by the music he listens to. He is the recipient of Global Indian Music Award, which was awarded to him in 2011, BIG Star IMA and Mirchi Music Awards were also given to him in 2011. Benedict Taylor is a notable British experimental musician whose music has cultural value and is even considered to be a hallmark of modernism. Critics consider him to be an Avant-garde composer and violist too. He is the son of Kendal-based author Caroline Moir and was born in 1962 in Kendal (UK). He graduated in 2004 as a violist from Royal Northern College of Music and became one of the many respected musicians. To Indians, he is better known as the husband of Bollywood actress Radhika Apte. He married her in 2012. When actress Radhika Apte was a Pune’s theatre artist, she took a year-long sabbatical to learn contemporary dance in London. That’s when she met British Musician Benedict, the two fell in love, and a year later they got married. Benedict comes from a humble British family, and perhaps this could be the reason why Radhika preferred him as her soul mate. He also composed music for super hit Bollywood movies like 'Newton,' 'Gurgaon,' 'Udta Punjab,' 'The Ship of Theseus,' etc. Benedict had improvised music in the British and European new music world. His focus has always been for live performance in film, theatre, contemporary dance too. He always creates electroacoustic art music using machine-listening, and his multi-track recording techniques; enables him to collaborate on film projects, dance, theatre or performance art installations. In the year 2017, Benedict worked as a music composer for an Indian drama film 'The Hungry' which was directed by Bornila Chatterjee. The film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Tisca Chopra, Antonio Aakeel, Arjun Gupta in lead roles. Also earlier, he has composed music with Naren Chandavarkar for Anurag Kashyap's movie 'That Girl in Yellow Boots' (2011) that stars Naseeruddin Shah and Kalki Koechlin. Naren Chandavarkar

Naren Chandavarkar is a music composer. Originally from Bangalore, he currently lives in Mumbai, India. He debuted in the Hindi film industry by composing the music for That Girl in Yellow Boots (2010). He went on to compose music for several other films like Harud (2010), Ship of Theseus (2012), Killa (2014), and Udta Punjab (2016). He worked on the score for the film Nil Battey Sannata (2015). A bunch of projects he has worked on are in post production. These projects are expected to be released in 2017. Some of these include Candyflip, and Noor. Naren along with fellow musician Benedict Taylor, husband of Radhika Apte, forms a music composition duo. They are based in Mumbai and London. They have an official website as well. Film, television, theatre, and contemporary dance are the subfields they have created music for. Their music is internationally as well as critically acclaimed. He frequently collaborates with Rohan Vinayak and Sneha Khanwalkar. Naren has also dabbled in acting. He used to play the role of Amit in the 2008 TV comedy series Mumbai Calling. He is currently working towards the music of the Telugu mythological film, Subramaneswara Swamy, directed by P Venu Gopal Chowdary set to release in December of 2019. He is the music director of the film. Background music for the short film M.B.A (2014) is credited to Naren. A large number of international film festivals frequently applaud the music composition of Naren. These include the Venice, Toronto, and London Indian Film Festivals. The film Ship of Theseus, directed by Anand Gandhi, was voted by the Critics Circle, an organization of British critics for dance, drama, film, music, visual arts and architecture, as one of fifteen life-changing films of the century. Deconstructing an instrument to try and get the most diverse and unfamiliar sounds out of it is a regular trait of his music compositions. Using every day items like kadais, pots and pans, spoons, forks to produce sound effects as desired is another feature that makes music composed by him individualistic. His ideology with respect to music is finding the right tool for the right job. He believes that there is a great possibility of dialogue between acoustic, real-world instruments and technology-driven sounds. He states that he has learned a lot about music composition from his colleague, Benedict Taylor as well as the various sources and forums on the internet. He likes the work done by Alexandre Desplat in films like The Grand Budapest Hotel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2, and Twilight. R D Burman, A R Rahman, and Amit Trivedi are some of his other favorite composers.
