Apurv Nagpal is an Indian author, entrepreneur, consultant, blogger, visiting faculty at IIM-A, and has worked in the corporate world in various capacities. He has worked as a producer under the label Saregama India Ltd. He is also a supporter of women empowerment, and he is well-connected with the NGO, Sheroes, which is a career network for women. Nagpal is known for his expertise in innovation and marketing.
He completed his school years at Air Force Bal Bharti in Delhi. He received his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from the Sri Ram College Of Commerce, New Delhi in 1991, and his MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 1993. Apart from writing, Apurv visited all seven continents including Antarctica in Dec 2008 and 60+ countries, and he has the right to live and work in Europe.
He has traveled abroad to many countries for cricket and football matches. He has watched every FIFA World cup Live since 1998 and most of them with his family. He gives reviews of movies frequently and have reviewed over 500 cinemas so far and bring out his reviews via Blogs, Quickies, Videos. Blogging consistently and interacting with readers on a regular basis.
Apurv worked in the corporate field for over two decades, he started his career as an Assistant Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble India (1993 - 1996) in India and as Marketing Manager (1966 - 1997) for the same company in Dhaka, Sri Lanka. Later on, he worked as a Group Brand Manager at British American Tobacco (1997-1999) in Moscow, Russia Federation and launched Pall Mall in Russia and led it to a very high market share within a few months of launch. He was promoted to International Brand Manager at British American Tobacco (1999 - 2000) in London, United Kingdom. Later he worked as Category Head, Fabric Softeners & Ironing Aids at Reckitt Benckiser (2000 - 2003) in Slough, United Kingdom and was promoted as Head, Innovations, and Automatic Dishwashing at Reckitt Benckiser (2003 - 2005).
Then he joined the team in Holland and worked as Marketing Director at Reckitt Benckiser (2005 -2006) in Holland. In December 2006, Apurv was made the marketing director for India for SAB-Miller working as Marketing Director at SABMiller (2006 - 2008) in Bangalore, India. In January 2009 Apurv Nagpal was appointed as the CEO of Saregama India Ltd (2009 - 2012), India.
On April 9, 2012, he resigned from the company and moved to Pune to focus full-time on his writing career. Now he is the author of bestselling novel Eighteen Plus (2013) and Eighteen Plus Duets (2016) both the novels have been a success in the market. He is also a Visiting Faculty, Innovation at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, teaching Innovation to the PGP 2 students.
