Dipankar Gupta

Dipankar Gupta is an Indian filmmaker, assistant director, writer, runner, and shower singer. In 2010, he finished his school studies at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. After that, he went to Maharaja Agrasen College, to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Journalism (2010 – 2013). He was also a team member at ABHINAY – The Street Play Society of Maharaja Agrasen College in DU. He has also a stepsister named Shubhi Raina who works at Mass Entertainment. Dipankar Gupta participated in the Ageas Federal Life Insurance Mumbai Half Marathon 2023.

He finished a ten-kilometer run in a chip time of one hour five minutes, and thirty-four seconds. On September 24, 2023, he also participated in a Decathlon in Delhi. Dipankar Gupta was the former owner of DNG Creations. He was then a former workshop coordinator at Theatreworms Productions. He also took intern at Indian Express for a month (June 2011 – July 2011). After that, he worked as an editor at Macroscopre for almost two years (August 2011 – April 2013). From November 2011 to June 2012, Dipankar Gupta was a former HOD Media and PR at the International Youth Forum. He then worked as first assistant director in the 2017 movie “Qarib Qarib Single” and in the 2018 television series “Rangbaaz.” As a third assistant director, he worked in the 2019 historical drama movie “The Gandhi Murder,” directed by Karim Traidia and Pankaj Sehgal. The same year, he engaged as second assistant director in the television series "Made in Heaven" and the movie "Laal Kaptaan.” He then worked as first assistant director in movies such as “Panga” (2020) and “Meenakshi Sundareshwar” (2021). In 2022, he engaged as first assistant director in the action crime drama television series “Khakee: The Bihar Chapter,” starring Karan Tacker, Avinash Tiwary, Nikita Dutta, and others. The following year, he featured as the first assistant director in the documentary television series "Wedding.con" in 2023.
