Aastha Khanna was born in India. From childhood, she was interested in cinema. She did her bachelor’s in science with honors in film & television production at the University of York in England. After completing her graduation, she worked on a lot of different projects in the UK and India. She has worked on a lot of Indian films as an assistant director, such as Gehraiyaan, Badlapur, Raat Akeli Hai, and Student of the Year 2. She worked as an assistant director on the film Andhadhun, which won a national award. She has also worked for Viacom 18, Netflix, RSVP, and Dharma Productions.
Aastha Khanna is the first Indian to be certified as an intimacy coordinator. Her famous projects include Cobalt Blue, Penthouse, The Actress, and Elite India for Netflix India. Â
