A.K. Shekhar was an Art Director, a production designer, and a set decorator who predominantly worked in the Telugu Film Industry. Shekhar was a core member of the famous production house Vauhini Pictures. Shekhar made his debut in the world of Tamil Films with the movie ‘Sita Kalyanam’ (1934). He joined the production banner Rohini Pictures which later on turned into Vauhini Pictures in 1939. Vauhini Pictures, in that era, had a great impact on the cinema in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, and Shekhar was a part of it.
