Tisha Deb Pillai

Tisha is a Creative Director and co-founder at Good Bad Habits, an animation and motion design studio based in Vancouver, Canada. Her company’s clientele includes Google, Wikimedia, TED-Ed, Telus, Spotify, and Visier. She graduated with a Bachelor of Media Arts in Animation from Emily Carr University of Art and Design and completed her schooling at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, she has also attended Shrishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology where she studied Product and Interface Design.

Tisha has been working since 2011 and has racked up quite an experience in her years. She has worked as a production and Interaction designer at Deutsche Telekom, a Product designer at Popcorn Furniture, an Animation Teaching Assistant at Real to Reel International Film Festival for Youth, Animator at Global Mechanic, Animator at Kelly & Kelly, and animator at Visier.inc, Animation Director at Google, Animation Director at Wikimedia Foundation, Art Director at Science World, and Creative Director at Good and Bad Habits.

While working in the industry for so long she has accumulated some awe-inspiring skills in her portfolio such as Logo Design, Animation Direction, Digital Media, Character Animation, Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, Adobe Creative Suite, Digital Illustration, Communication, Animation, Design, Motion Graphics, 2D Animation, Visual Storytelling, Creative Direction, Storyboarding, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Illustration, Flash Animation, Art Direction, Concept Art, Digital Art, Campaigns, Teamwork, Production management.

With such a diverse portfolio, it is no wonder that she has won many honorary awards such as the Commendation Award for Best Diploma Project in Product and Interface Design, Sophie Burnett Memorial Award, President's Media Award for Excellence in Animation, Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Media, Official selection at International Animation Film Festivals, Grad Film at MOMA, NYC, Asifa East Award, First Place Students Category, Jury member Canadian Screen Awards and the honor of Adobe Max Speaker. Tisha is also multilingual and can fluently speak Bengali and English.
