An Animation Director is responsible for the job done by the animators. His prime role is to determine the budget for animation, to delegate work accordingly, to supervise the work done and to ensure quality of the same.
A bachelor's degree in computer animation or a related field is a key requirement of this job. An animation director acts as a head of the animation team and is expected to look over the subordinates and also supervise their work.
He has to plan everything taking into consideration the minute details such as the background props and sequence of any animation. How good an animation turns out to be is in the hands of the animation director. This work involves paying attention to the details and having a lot of concentration. Animations are used even in games, cartoons and rhymes these days, thereby increasing the scope of work for animation directors and his subordinates.
