Nishant Bahukhandi is an animation director, based in Delhi, India. Bahukhandi was born in New Delhi. He's a polyglot who knows French, Hindi, English, and Japanese. He specializes in character design, advertising, and animation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in 2d Animation from Jagran Institute of Management, also known as Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University. He received a diploma in animation from MAAC (Maya Academy of Advance Cinematics). While pursuing this diploma, he was given the "Best 3d Modeler and outstanding performance in Animation" award. In his college years, he worked on two experimental short films using stop motion animation techniques, named "Eternal Saga of Life "And "Know the Worth of Earth".
He co-founded Sugar Tales, a YouTube channel that creates short-form animated content for kids. He also taught Maya Modelling, animation, basics of texturing, lighting, and pre-production in Noida for six months in Noida. After graduation, he started working on his first professional short film named "The Soup", for 2 and a half years. The Soup was selected to be screened at the "Short Film Corner" of the renowned Cannes Festival in 2013. It also won the award of "Best 2D Animated Short-Film” in the Professional category at the Delhi CG Awards 2013. He also teaches underprivileged kids drawing with an association NGO and is interested in causes like Animal Welfare and Environment.
