Leah Khambata

Leah Khambata is born and reared in Bombay. Leah is a Parsi actress and singer-songwriter who divided her time between India and New York City. She also resided and worked in London and Los Angeles, where she has performed in several languages and accents. She studied psychology and film studies simultaneously at Wesleyan University, earned an M.B.A. from Cornell, completed her improv coursework at U.C.B., studied acting at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and is full certified in Reiki 2. Leah starred with Jim Sarbh in Sonny Liv’s “Rocket Boys,” with Mihir Ahuja in Lionsgate Play’s “Feels Like Home,” and with Amazon Prime in “Guilty Minds.” She is represented by Sony Music Publishing as a songwriter.

Her two original music videos debuted on VH1 India, and in 2022, she was named the Best Lyricist recipient of Hungama’s Artist Aloud Indian Independent Music Award. Leah plays a variety of characters on screen, including the cool-headed, astute woman who knows far more than she lets on, the forensic experts who solves the case, the feisty passionate undercover agent who never backs down from a challenge, and the elderly neighbour, with a sharp mind who understands that life is not a fairytale. Leah frequently does puzzles, crafts, poetry, crochets scarves for her nieces, or curl up with a book like Hermione Granger.
