Joyeeta Dutta

Joyeeta Dutta was born in 1991 in Guwahati. She was an academically smart kid from the beginning, getting straight A’s through her high-school years and passing the top of her class. She studied at the Assam Valley School from 2005-2014, after which she studied and graduated at Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi, with Political Science as her honours paper. After working briefly at McKinsey & Company as an Operations Team member, Joyeeta quit her job to fully invest herself in acting. She appeared in the short documentary ‘A Good Wife’ in 2014 and then in the 2019 drama series ‘Kota Factory’. Later, Joyeeta got to play a major role in the 2022 film ‘A Suitable Boy,’ which is an adaptation of Vikram Seth’s classic novel of the same name. The movie was directed by Mira Nair, who played a crucial role in Joyeeta’s decision to pursue acting.

Joyeeta Dutta, born in Guwahati, is an actress who predominantly works in the Hindi entertainment industry. She did her schooling at The Assam Valley School and was a brilliant student as she secured the 1st Rank in ISC Humanities in North East India and 4th rank in the whole of India, with a score of 98.5%. She has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a diploma in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi. Throughout her school and college years, she participated in several co-curricular activities and won many awards. She even completed a research thesis on the Role Of Women’s Organisation Working in Addressing Domestic Violence in Rural Assam.
