Utkarsh Rai

Utkarsh Rai is an Indian computer science graduate from BITS Pilani who has lived a life of challenges and risks. After completing his studies, he worked for Siemens in Delhi and later in Germany. He then moved on to work with Adaptec in the US before deciding to return to India in the late nineties, going against the tide of Indian professionals who were flocking to the US for job opportunities. Utkarsh took another gamble when he left a successful career at Motorola to bet on a small startup, Infinera. He helped set up the India centre of the company and played a crucial role in taking the company public and making it a formidable centre. Utkarsh shares his vast experiences with others through his leadership practice and is an angel investor who keeps himself updated with the changing landscape of the technology world.

He has travelled to fifty countries to augment his knowledge and expertise. Despite not being into sports, Utkarsh transformed himself into a fitness freak and authored a book on fitness after having become a popular author in the genre of management books. He got rid of stage fear by performing at company parties and even undertook acting classes to explore new territories. He first got certified as an executive coach by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and was advised to shift to Mumbai to pursue an acting course.
