Roshan Bharti

Dr. Roshan Bharti is a Hindi actor and a Ghazal Singer. He completed his education with a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Rajasthan. He started his career with Senia Gharana as a Ghazal Singer in 1971. He worked with Late Ustad Mehndi Hasan, Late Ustad Bismillah Khan, Late Ustad Vilayat Khan, Late Pundit V.G Jog, Late Shri Jagjit Singh, and Ustad Ghulam Ali. He sang in the Ustad Allauddin Khan Sangeet Academy in Parliament House, MP. He also sang in the Lalit Kala Academy, National Award Ceremony, Rajbhawan, Bhopal, MP in 2006. He has also worked as an Associate Professor of Music in the Government of Rajasthan.

He is also a member of the All India Radio Audition Board, a Panel Member of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Jury Member for Music Competition in All India Radio, Board Member of Broadcasting Cooperation of India, Acting Principal of JDB Government Girls College, and Convener of the Board Of Studies for Music. He was born in a family of a professional musicians for 17 generations and is the grandson of Ustad Jamal Khan who belonged to the Seniya Gharana also known as Kalavant Gharana of Hindustani Classical Music. He gave his voice as a playback singer for the TV serial Geet Govind, Faasle, and Yeh Hui Na baat.
