Rohitashv Gour is better known as Tiwari Ji from Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. He is a versatile and poipular actor. He was born on 24 March 1966 in Kalka, Haryana, India. To pursue his career in acting, he applied to the National School of Drama, Delhi, and became one of the 20 students selected for the 3 years professional course in acting. He married Rekha Gour in 2002 and has two children named Giti and Sanjiti. His daughter, Giti Gour, is interested in acting just like her father and takes it up as her profession. But he doesn’t want her to start with typical daily soaps on television. He wants her to work in content-oriented cinema. They had recently uploaded her video of dancing to an old song that got widely recognized, and people told him that she is very talented and should pursue acting. This was his moment of acceptance, and he wanted her to act in films, do web series, and learn characterization.

He made his debut in 2001 with the movie Veer Savarkar in the role of Ganesh Damodar Savarkar. He then went on to play minor characters in other movies like Pratha, Matrubhoomi, Pinjar, Dhoop, Munnabhai M.B.B.S, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Dil Se Pooch Kidhar Jaana Hai, A Wednesday, One Two Three, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, and PK. But he has done the majority of his work in the television industry. He won many awards like Indian Telly Jury Award for best actor in a Comic Role in 2014, ITA Award for Popular Couple (comedy) in 2015, the ITA award for Best Actor (comedy) in 2010 and 2017, and the Indian Telly Award for best actor in a comic role in 2015. Both he and his wife are social workers as well. She used to work for cancer patients in a cancer research institute but has taken voluntary retirement. Rohitashv is a member of the All India Artist Association, Shimla, who supports new talent and provides scholarships to such students.
