Ratan Gaurang is a famous veteran Indian actor. His major works were all in Hindi. He contributed from 1949 to 1982 in the industry as an experienced and in- demand actor. In total, he did 103 films in his career, which includes many superhits like “ Teesri Kasam (1966), Sharabi (1964), Elaan (1971), Chalte Chalte (1976), Karz (1980), and Gopichand Jasoos (1982).”
In a supporting role, he featured in several other well-known films like “Barsaat (1949), Aandhiyan (1952), Pehli Jhalak (1955), Detective (1958), Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Anpadh (1962), Haqeeqat (1964), April Fool (1964), Teesri Kasam (1966), Hamraaz (1967), Aradhana (1969), Satte Pe Satta (1982), and many others.
He played a completely distinct character in each film showing his versatility. Like a servant's role in “Wahan Ke Log,” a villager in “Mr. Natwarlal,” a waiter in “Swami Dada,” a mechanic in “Jail Yatra,” a tailor in “Phandebaaz,” and a horse trainer in “Gambler.” He impressed the audience through his acting skills and proved himself as an asset to the industry.
