He was born in 1948 in Punjab's Maler Kotla, and his real name was Abdul Jabbar Khan. He passed away on 12th June 2020, in his home in Punjab, India, after a long battle with cancer. He was best known for his work in the movie Mome Ki Gudiya (1972), where he played the protagonist Ravi opposite Tanuja and stars as a college student who falls in love with his future stepmother.
