Rajat Das, a renowned Indian Writer, Producer, and Director, is known for the movies Tapasya (1993), Paap Punnya (1987), Adhikar (2012), and Nyay Anyay (1981). Rajat Das, born in 1953 into a Bengali family, started writing when he was still a teen, with a Soldier Father and a Homemaker-cum-musician as parents. He developed a strong passion for writing in his early teenage years. At the age of 14, he already produced and directed his first stage play, which ran successfully for two years. Despite his involvement in script writing, producing, and directing the play, he continued to excel academically, consistently topping his class.
He captained his cricket team and cleverly raised all the funds needed for the team through raffle schemes. In addition to being a prolific writer and actor, he is an avid tennis player. Also, he graduated from St. Aloysius' Higher Secondary School, Bhusawal, and then proceeded to Ferguson College, Prune University, where he obtained a B.An in economics. "Paper Boat" is one of his publications. He also authored "In Dystopia" (A novel in a series) and "Race Your Rats".
