Bhaskar Patel is a British actor born on 7th September 1956, in Kampala, Uganda. His family moved to British Empire to establish their business. He moved back with his mother and four sisters to India at the end of British rule in 1962. He came to England when he was 17 years old as his father thought it is his responsibility to provide good education to him. He had no idea what he was going to do. He chose to go to Mountview Theatre School for speech, movement, and drama classes as he enjoyed reading and performing. Bhaskar decided to go to a smaller school with fewer people in the class which would help him improve his speech and drama. He went to a theater school called Studio '68 Theatre Arts in London. He had just begun when an Egyptian actor told him about a role of an Indian actor at Pebble Mill.
He met the director and got the part in a BBC1 drama series called Play for today. He told his principal at drama school, who was an American former actor who told him to take the opportunity and gain experience and come back to them. After three weeks, he went back to drama school but again got another role in Mr. Robinson’s Party. He could not complete drama school because of the opportunities he was receiving. In 2011, Bhaskar Patel received a role in the British soap opera Emmerdale.
