She had worked extensively in Gujarati cinema and devotional music.She was awarded the Best Playback Singer award five times. She has also been felicitated by the Gujarat government for her contributions to the Gujarati film industry. Later in life, inspired by Meera, Kabir, and Surdas, she turned to singing devotional songs. She passed away on 24th July 2017 in Ahmedabad.
