Latesh Shah is a famous actor, director, writer, and producer in the Gujarati film and TV industry. He is also the Founder and Chairman of WHDC. He used to participate in inter-college drama competitions, and he has performed in many plays and won prizes. He is widely known for his debut Gujarati film, Chitkar, which was released in 2018. He worked as an actor and director in the film. Chitkar was initially a play, first performed in 1983, based on a true story. Latesh Shah worked as a writer, producer, director, trainer, and actor in the Chitkar theatre play. After a successful long run of 15 years in India and abroad, it was shut down because of the intense pressure affecting the actors.

He wrote and directed Mahayatra 20 years ago. It was a story revolving around AIDS that brought awareness to the topic. He is the originator of street play culture. Latesh performed a total of 21 shows, each lasting 45 minutes, in 24 hours on Mumbai streets and set a world record. This attracted thousands of people and got attention from prominent figures like Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mrs. Vijayalaxmi Pandit, and Shekhar Kapoor. He established Growth Vidhyapeeth (Formerly known as the World Human Development Centre, or WHDC) in 2003, where he conducts workshops, consulting, and counseling services for people of all ages. He is a life and business coach and chairman of WHDC. In August 2022, he also launched his book, named I am not my father. He also worked as a columnist for the Gujarati Mid-day E-Paper and published articles about his life and journey as an actor. He has contributed to the improvement of Kutch in various ways.

He founded Kutch Vagad Fauj (KVF) to benefit the people of the Kutchhi community. He established the world's first and largest oil-seed plantation of Salvadora, on his 1000-acre farm in Kutch. When the Kutch earthquake devastated the lives of many, in the span of six months, KVF rebuilt the first village in the Bhachau district. He was awarded ‘Ambassador for Peace’ by the International and Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace and ‘Best Citizens of India’ in 2012 by the International Publishing House.
