Geetanjali Lal is a famous Kathak dancer and choreographer in India. She was born on November 5, 1948, in Baroda, Gujarat, India. She is the wife of Pandit Devi Lal and the mother of Abhimanyu Lal, who is also a renowned Kathak dancer. She began her early training in Hindustani classical music composed by her father, Rajnikant Desai, a vocalist and professor of music who was also the disciple of Aftab-e-Mosiqui Ustad Faiyaz Khan of Agra Gharana. Pupil's own High School Khar Mumbai India and completed her graduation from Srinagar Women's College.Her professional life includes being the Chief of Repertory and Director of Kathak Kendra from 2009 till 2012. She has performed solo performances on and was known for her acting skills and storytelling through her dance by applying features of Jaipur Gharana like laykaari and intricate rhythmic patterns in her footwork.

She occupies the top tier in Doordarshan as a grade artist and in the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
