Pratik Pradhan is an Indian sound engineer, sound mixer, recording engineer, and sound editor who predominantly works in the Bollywood film industry. He was born and raised in the city of Kolkata in West Bengal. Pratik Pradhan completed his higher secondary education at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, and then pursued his bachelor’s degree in Commerce at the University of Calcutta. After graduating, he then went to Mumbai in order to get a diploma in Audio Engineering and Recording Arts from the SAE Institute. He graduated with a specialization in Record, Mix, and Master. Pratik Pradhan stayed on at the SAE institute as an Audio Studio Supervisor, where he managed the studio inventory and helped to guide and record artists.

After a couple of months, Pratik Pradhan started working as a Chief Sound Engineer at Vikrant Studios. He continued to stay on for a couple of years in Mumbai while simultaneously doing freelance work along with this job. As a freelance sound engineer, he worked with big studios such as Yash Raj Films, Empire Studio, Em2, Spectral Harmony, PurpleGrapes, Orinsham Studio, and Balaji. He also slowly started building his own clientele. Pratik Pradhan eventually decided to head back to Kolkata in 2015 and start working independently. He set up his own company known as The Sound Studio and spent a year working out of his bedroom before he could move to an office space. Pratik Pradhan is also musically talented and has worked in the music department for films like ‘ Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ (2013) and as a composer for the short film ‘To Extricate’ (2020).
