Rupankar is a singer-songwriter, playback vocalist, and actor from Bengal, born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, on December 2nd, 1972. He had sung songs in contemporary Bengali films, such as "Dutta Vs. Dutta (2012), Chalo Let's Go (2008), Baishe Srabon (2011), Jaatishwar (2014), Chotushkone (2014), Monn (2018), and Aparajita Tumi (2012)." He is famous for his intense performances on stage as a performing artist. Rupankar is of the foremost recognized singers of Bengal at present. He came to the limelight with an immense fan following. Bagchi belonged to a Bengali family and had classical vocal training from his father, Ritendra Nath Bagchi, and "Rabindra Sangeet" from his mother, Sumitra Bagchi, at an early age. He learned classical music and modern songs from Sukumar Mitra and Jatileswar Mukhopadhyay. His first on-stage performance was at the age of eleven. In 1999, he married Chaitali Lahiri.

He had recorded tunes for jingles, albums, private collections, and television series. Rupankar generally has dynamic evenings and live shows. Likewise, he had secured several network shows.
