Ipsita Roy Chakraverti is a Bengali Actress, and a Wiccan Priestess, based in India. She was born on, November 3, 1950, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She has born into an Elite family. Her father was Debabrata Chakraverti, and her mother was Roma Sen. She spent her several years of life in Canada, and the United States. Her father was stationed in these places. There she joined a group of women, studying the old ways, and the ancient cultures of the world. She studied for three years with them, and later she chose, Wicca as her religion.

When she returned to India and got married, in 1986, she declared herself, a Witch. She proclaimed to the media about The Neo-Pagan Ways of Wicca, and its healing power. She started to travel to the small villages and began to teach the women population about witchcraft, and the ways of Wicca. She campaigned as a candidate of the Indian National Congress, for the Parliament of India, in 1998, but was not elected. In 2003, she launched her autobiography ‘Beloved Witch’. In 2006, she released her second book, ‘Sacred Evil: Encounters with the Unknown’. It explained her case studies that happened during her practicing in Wiccan.

She began a platform the Wiccan Brigade, for those, who wanted to study Wicca. Later, on ETV, Bangla, a Bengali Television Channel, created two television serials, based on her experience and life with the paranormal. She believes that the Wicca is the first Feminist movement in history that has been credited with launching witchcraft in India, and the rest of the world.
