Anjaam Pathiraa Movie Review

3 / 5.0

Anjaam Pathira is directed by Mithun Manuel Thomas. The movie has Kunchacko Boban, Sreenath Bhashi, “Indrans,” Mathew Thomas, Remya Nambeesan and Jinu Joseph are in the cast. The film is produced by Ashiq Usman.

Anwar Hussain is a psychologist. He had been helping the police department in finding out the clues in certain murder cases. In one such case, when Anwar finds out a clue, it puts him in a tough situation with furthermore murders. Anil, his cop friend, who sought his support, gets confused a lot and stuck with how to deal with the case. The rest of the story deals with how they catch the culprit.

Star Performance

When it comes to serious performance, Kunchacko is a sincere actor. He gets deep into the character and renders an excellent performance. Sreenath Bhasi, Indrans and Mathew did their job with perfection.

It is not easy to handle a murder mystery. The whodunit kind of stories needs a lot of logic, exciting plots and some strong performance. The intro scenes in this movie are lengthy and it should have been crisper. It takes a lot of time to give details of a character, which unnecessarily increases the film’s running time. The characters are deeply analyzed and written. The techniques used by the killer and the suspense element are neatly handled. But, the climax portions should have been taken in a better way.

What’s There?

  • Characterization is good
  • Performances are impressive

What’s Not There?

  • Climax portion is not much impressive
  • Certain scenes are confusing and the doubts are not cleared

Anjam Pathira is a good entertainer with some flaws. Yet, it could be watched for the performances and execution.
