Ragini Khanna is a well-known Indian model, film and television actress. She was born on December 9, 1989 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is the daughter of Praveen and and the younger sister of actor, . She is also the niece of actor and former politician, Govinda. She attended R.N. Shah High School and later studied at the University of Mumbai with a Masters degree in Commerce. Initially, she wanted to become a singer so she took a training by Prakash Prasad. Eventually, she became an actress and appeared in several television shows and won many awards. Ragini has done a short print ad at first and later after, she worked in several advertisements such as Amul Cool Café and more.

She was debuted in the television soap, Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi on NDTV Imagine in 2008. She played as , the second daughter of Radhaa Sharma (played by ). She made a special appearance on NDTV Imagine’s Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family in the same year. In 2009, Ragini was starred as Bharti, the female avatar of Bhaskar (male Bhaskar was played by ) in the romantic comedy show, on Sony Entertainment Television. In year 2010, she was starred as Suhana Bajpayee, a rich and spoiled brat girl who lost her mother at her very young age in the drama series, Sasuraal Genda Phool on Star Plus channel in 2010. In the same year, she made a special appearance on Sony TV’s Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. Later, Ragini made a cameo appearance as Suhana Kashyap in Director Kut’s Productions’ Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai on STAR Plus. In 2011, she acted on a special appearance in the television series, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on STAR Plus. Soon after, the actress made another cameo appearances on Shashi Sumeet Productions’ Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki on Life OK, Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan and Diya Aur Baati Hum.

Ragini also rose to fame after joining many reality shows including , Comedy Ka Daily Soap, Meethi Choori No. 1 and Comedy Circus Ka . She also made a guest appearance in the popular reality game show, 10 Ka Dum in 2009 and won a total of 1,000,000 Rupees; the actress donated her winnings to the charity. Ragini was also seen in another reality show, : Chota Parda Bada Game on Imagine TV. She appeared in the Diwali Special Episode of the 4th season of the game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati and won ₹1,250,000. She also joined the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa but she took the 9th position and got eliminated in 2011. Ragini also joined the reality show, ; a singing game show for celebrities on Zee TV. In 2013, the actress also joined the reality show, Welcome – Baazi Mehmaan Nawazi Ki on the same channel. Besides joining, she is also one of the favorite host of the Indian viewers. She anchored reality shows like , India’s Best Dramebaaz, Gangs of Haseepur and Dil Hai Chota Sa Choti Si Asha. She, along with also hosted the fifth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2012.

She made her debut on Bollywood through the Hindi comedy film, in 2011. She acted as Reet in the box-office Punjabi comedy film, Bhaji in Problem in 2013. She was also featured in the Bollywood comedy film, Ghoomketu in 2014, opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

The brilliant actress is the brand ambassador of a science organization called, Beauty with Astrology which was started by her mother, Kamini Khanna and the radio show, Seher which was aired on 92.7 BIG FM. Her performance in Sasural Genda Phool gained her awards and nominations including the Best Actress in a Drama Series on the Apsara Award in 2012. She was also nominated as the Most Lokpriya Non-Fiction Anchor for hosting the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5.
