Momin is an honest and religious man who practices Islam. His family includes his father, Shahzad, his mother, Zehra, and two sisters, Fari and Annie. He adores his childhood crush and sweetheart, Ashi, but Ashi's father, Jameel, rejects their relationship and arranges for her marriage to Fakhar.

He met one of his students, Maya when he became a professor at a university there. Because she likes him, he has a problem with Ashi. When Jameel discovers that Fakhar is not a good person, he ends the relationship between Ashi and Fakhar and replaces it with Momin. Maya has become obsessed with him and accused him of harassment, which is enough to end his relationship with Ashi.
