Jahanzeb Qamar is a scriptwriter and drama writer from Pakistan. He was born in Sargodha on July 26, 1976. He completed his schooling at PAF Public School Sargodha and then went to Air Base Inter College to meet his Fsc. with pre-engineering. Qamar graduated from Punjab University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in 2000 and a master's degree in Urdu literature later in his career. Qamar began his career as a writer from PTV Lahore center in 2000 after earning his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. He authored numerous notable plays, including Tapti Chaan, for which he won the PTV Best Independent Playwright Award in 2002. Jahanzeb considered Muneeza Hashmi as his mentor and instructor. Some of his best-known plays are Din Dhallay, Ik Nazar Mere Taraf, Main Hari Piya, and Tera Pyar Nahi Bhoole. His long association with Pakistan Television Corporation has gained him a significant position in the industry.
Currently, Qamar is serving duties as a college principal in Sargodha at Misali Ravian College. Qamar started his career from PTV at Lahore center and wrote his first-ever independent play, Tapti chan, for which he won many awards, later he established himself as a lead male writer of PTV. Currently, he is working on Pakistan's first-ever children's drama serial Roshan Rastay on PTV Home.
