Bholi Bano is about unrequited love and struggles in married life. This 48-episode TV serial is available on GEO's TV's youtube page. Furqan Ahmed is the director of the tv serial written initially by Samra Bukhari. It was popular and one of the most watched TV serials of 2017. The main character, Bano ( played by Hiba Bukhari Bio coming soon...   Hiba Bukhari Family Tree (I >> Read More... ), is an innocent lady living with her maternal grandmother and uncle after her parent's death. As the plot progresses, a landholder named Tajdaar ( played by Syed Jibran) falls in love with Bano. However, Bano is unaware of his love for her. The first five to eight episodes show refreshing chemistry between Tajdaar and Bano. Unfortunately for Tajdaar and his love, Bano is married to Soban ( Arez Khan), a relative's son. Soon after her marriage, she faces the hatred of Soban's stepmother and stepsister. Bano tries to find refuge in Soban's company, but her husband is too soft-hearted to speak against this atrocity. Bano continues to endure the rude behavior of her in-laws.

Tajdaar witnesses this and offer her help. Bano, the righteous lady, refuses to involve him in her family matters. Bano's character is soft-hearted and loyal, a combination we rarely see in today's world. She respects everyone and has a morally righteous personality. She is not materialistic or greedy. The central theme of this serial was Bano's simplicity. It's refreshing to see a character like Bano in today's world, where everyone harbors materialistic greed. Tajdaar tries many times to lure her out of wedlock and make her fall for him. But Bano does not budge from her moralities. She is strong-headed and loyal. The serial also shows the personal life of Tajdaar and the love story of other supporting characters Sheila and abid. The climax occurs in the last two episodes when Soban gets into an accident. Tajdaar takes advantage of this situation and tries to degrade Soban, saying he is an unfulfilling husband.

Tajdar convinces Soban that he can care for Bano better than Soban ever could. Tajdaar convinces Soban to give divorce to Bano. However, Soban could not bring himself to utter those words to Bano. Later Tajdaar realizes how he had manipulated and tried to break a married couple. Seeing him try everything and still not get Bano's love is saddening The ending of the serial is vague and has a lot of unexplained plot holes. We come to know that Tajdaar is dead. He also signs off all his properties to Soban. Fast-forwarded to five years later, Soban, Bano, and their son visit Tajdaar's grave, making it the ending scene of the serial.
