Muthyala Muggu is a story of a family which strong, straightforward and courageous. However, they all have their demons to face, in due time they come out strong as a family and conquers every situation throws in their way. But the script is mainly written over the main character of the Serial Devyani who plays the role of eldest sister of the family Abhinaya. She has three other siblings’ two sisters named Anandhi and Aarthi and a brother named Manohar. They were brought up by their mother Karpagam, and she teaches them to be bold and fearless, but this is what made the family be surrounding by the problems in first place.

Abhinaya been the first born had to take all the responsibilities of her family as both of her sisters Anandhi and Aarthi were still studying and Manohar had drop out of the school because he wanted to be a mechanic. So she works hard to provide for her family also she wants to be a very prosperous person. She has many admirers one of them being Usha her colleagues who like her very much and another one is Tholkappian who loves her but didn’t know how to declare it properly.

The turn of events took place when Karpagam wants her daughter to get married, and she keeps her condition that she wants to work even after marriage and no matter whom she marries her income will always go to her family and not to her husband’s. This is the time when a guy named Bhaskar comes into the picture. But he only wants to marry her because of the money, so when his parents refused but he convinces them for it resulting them getting married at last.

Nevertheless, due to the straightforwardness Abhinaya had to face problems in her in-law's house. They don’t like any outspoken girl, but with her patience and little love she wins over them at last. Meanwhile, her little sister Anandhi was out of college and started working. This eases the burden of her sister and in due course of time, Abhinaya becomes successful because of all of her hard work had been paid. Thich led her to attain higher status than her husband Bhaskar which makes him feel inferior and this leads to argument and Abhinaya leaves him.

Rest is when Anandhi fell for a man named Shiva and got engaged to him but before her marriage, an accident took place in which she loses her eyesight which results in a broken the marriage and lost the job. Also, Aarthi ran off with a guy and married, but she realizes it was a very grave mistake, and Manohar is trapped within the claws of his boss’s wife. Now once again it comes to Abhinaya’s decisions how would she keep her family intact while facing her problems which involves her husband.

Muthyala Muggu is a Telugu family drama serial, which airs on the Zee Telugu channel. A girl name Bhulakshmi(Bhumi) lives in Paderu village. She excels in Kabaddi and Bharatanatyam. Bhumi wants to study, but her mother refuses due to the bitter past. Bhumi's Grandmother, Mukhta Devi hopes to reunite with her granddaughter family. Bhumi participates in the Kabaddi game and Seetha Devi, the Special Guest, gives the trophy to the Bhumi.

Unexpectedly, Badrayya dies. Mukhta Devi attends the funeral and knows about her grand-daughter, Bhumi. Bhumi and Kondamma wanted to start a new life. They slept on the road in front of the college. Nandika, who passes by, identify Bhumi and insult her. Seetha Devi comes and stops Nandika for mistreating Bhumi. Bhumi and Kondamma decide to stay in the Hostel, but Hostel warden refuses. Seetha Devi convinces the warden, but Nandika spoils all her works. Mukhta Devi helps Bhumi and Kondamma to get a fellowship in the college.

Viraat, the lecturer gets angry with Nandika as she tries to move closer with him again and again. Appalraju’s parents ask him to marry Gangamma. He keeps the condition that he marries only after Kondamma’s marriage. Viraat informs Bhumi that he will pay the college fee. Some goons attack Bhumi. Later she knows who sent those goons. Viraat, Bhumi, Nandika and Gundamma go on a trip and get lost their way. At Night, Bhumi and Viraat behave intimately in the Moon light. Nandika gets jealous over them. Bandits hide behind the tree to attack Bhumi. Nandika tries to get rid of Bhumi.

Viraat and Bhumi visit Kondamma Temple. Nandika disguises her as a beggar to kill Bhumi, but she fails. Determined Nandika sells poison fruit to Bhumi and Viraat. Kondamma finds the herbs in the nearby area. Viraat dresses up her wound. To marry Viraat, Nandika falsely accuses Viraat rape her in front of Mukhta Devi and asks her that give justice. Dhanush shutters all Nandika’s plans and marries her on the spot. Finally, Viraat and Bhumi marry with the blessings of Mukhta Devi and his family members.
