Valam Tharum Jothidam is a Tamil language TV show that airs on the channel Captain TV every day in the morning for half an hour. It is an astrology show in which an astrologer, who is also a religious scholar, talks about a topic related to astrology. He starts with the daily horoscopes in the following order of the zodiac signs; Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpion, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.
The horoscope involves the expected occurring of the day, things and places to avoid, lucky color for the day, the lucky number of the day, which gods to pray to, what rituals to do, and detailed expectations for people in different professions. After giving the daily horoscope, he talks about one astrological topic per day and tells what people belonging to different zodiac signs should do about that and how to do them. The topics could be rituals, beliefs, auspicious days, eclipses, etc.
