Smt. Radha is a well-known and excellent musician and Veena Vidushi. Radha was born into a musical household. Her father, NRP Sarathy, was a student of none other than renowned singer T.R. Mahalingam! She began her musical career at the age of seven, under the coaching of Saraswathula Lakshmi Kumari, and quickly learned the complexity and subtle nuances of Carnatic music and veena. Swathi Srikrishna is an acclaimed Carnatic vocalist who was born and brought up in Vijayawada, Hyderabad. She spent her childhood with her maternal grandparents. She was born into a family of musicians and patrons of art. She was introduced to the world of music through her grandparents. She started her basic training under Sri Raghavacharey Dauri of the Hyderabad brothers. Then she started training under her family guru, Acharya NCH Krishnamacharyulu, who was a great scholar in Sanskrit. She studied BA in English literature. Then she did her Master’s in Music from Madras University, and later she pursued an M.Phil. from Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal. Sri Padma Bhushan PS Narayanaswami was her mentor in Chennai.
Swathi Srikrishna sang on the radio at the age of twelve, and then she became a graded artist on All India Radio. She also got opportunities to learn from many legendary musicians like Sri Voleti Venkateswaralu, Sri Nedunuri Krishna Murthy, and Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman. She performs regularly at the Margazhi December music festival. She has worked with organizations like India Today, Sony, and Madras University. She had a chance to sing in the art movie 'Shringaram', which received an award for the best national music direction. She has been awarded the Voleti Venkateshwarulu Award from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai. She was the best performer of the year 1998.
