Athiradi Samaiyal is an Indian cookery show. The trend of cookery show began in the early 2000s. Athiradi Samaiyal is one such show which is in Tamil. The show follows the classic template of cookery show in that in the show the host prepares a particular dish and takes their viewers through the whole process of cooking it. Shihan is an Indian karate expert. He was born in Madurai and has also acted in various Tamil films. He is also a sculptor and loves to make sculptures from scratch. Among his most accomplished work is his training session with Kamal Haasan for a film. Shihan is a cheerful personality which makes him a perfect match for hosting the show.
