Namma Ooru Thiruvizha is a Tamil language TV show that aired on the channel Colors Tamil. It is a felicitation ceremony where achievers belonging to one city, where they have done exemplary work for the society, are recognised and awarded. The event occurred twice, once in Cuddalore and once in Kanchipuram. Both the events were hosted by Kiki and Vijay, two famous anchors and VJs. A bit of glitz and glamour is added to the ceremony by inviting television stars to give performances in the form of dance and singing. Those who are not performing are seated as an audience to encourage the performers and to witness the ceremony. They also interacted with the other audience in games and short talks.
The general public is also welcome and is separated from the celebrities and the award winners with barricades. The anchors start the event by welcoming the guests, the performers, and the audience.
