My very dear kudumbam is an Indian Tamil television show. The show is a sitcom. This is a family of five, with two brothers and one sister. The eldest one is Nesh who has been selected in NS and would be going soon.

Sharmi is the middle one and the smallest is Tinku. The three siblings fight a lot over small things. The Ramkumars are moving to a new and bigger house. The siblings taunt each other on various things but they share a deep bond. The family is very close or at least that’s what the parents, Kaaveri and Ram, think. The show follows this family of misfits as they move to the comfort of their new house and depicts their fun relationship with each other. The tone of the show is light since it’s a comedy and thus the conflicts too are kept low-key.

Most episodes focus on small conflicts, like Tinku having a Facebook account or Sharmi spending too much time in getting ready. These small conflicts give the show a fun and real touch. The show touches upon the themes of growing up, family values, siblings bond, and parenting without ever being preachy. The show has a good cast that includes Satya, Sri Hari, Maahes, and some other good actors. The show streamed on the popular Tami channel, Vasantham, and was a sleeper success for the channel.
