Puthiya Thalaimurai Sakthi Awards 2017 was the third edition of a prestigious award ceremony which seeks to identify women of calibre and bestow them with Puthiyathalaimurai Sakthi Award. Puthiya Thalaimurai TV continued with their drive of recognizing female talent in multiple fields.
For the year 2017, Vetri Home Appliances was the principal sponsor, Patanjali Keshi kanti was a supporting sponsor. Many other big business houses chipped in to make this award ceremony a success. This award is an important feather in the cap for the recipients since it is guaranteed to catapult them into the limelight.
The felicitation ceremony was held on 24th February 2017 in Chennai, where the presence of the crème of the South Indian film industry was confirmed. The red carpet was graced by the big-wigs of the film fraternity.
Puthiya Thalaimurai TV added the following categories in addition to the previous titles: Leadership, Knowledge, Bravery, Efficiency, Kindness and overall excellence. Many awards were given. A notable one was the award bestowed on Preethi Srinivasan, the founder of Soulfree. She rightfully deserved the Shakthi Award. Mr P. Satyanarayanan gave it away to her; the president of the channel appreciated Preethi’s tireless efforts and commended her on the pioneering work.
