Pradhana Vizha is a very popular television award for Tamil artists. The award show took place in Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, and was attended by many renowned and popular artists from the local Tamil television industry. The award ceremony has a total of 28 awards including awards such as best actor, actress, comedic performance, drama, editing, host along with many other categories. The newest addition to this long list of awards is the Lifetime Achievement Award which is given to someone who has done exceptional work in the field of entertainment for more than half of his or her life. It is one of the most prestigious awards of the night, after Best Drama and Best actress and actor.
In the 2018 edition of Pradhana Vizha, the lifetime achievement award went to the actor Jayaram who is known for his comedic performances. He created history as he became the oldest guy to win the award. Gayathri Segeran won the award for Best Actress for her great performance. The award for the best actor in a villain role went to Vishnu M Anandh. The Best Drama award went to the popular drama, Iruvar. The award was telecasted on the popular Tamil channel, Vasantham. The channel is known for its entertaining shows and the award ceremony created quite a buzz on the channel as more and more people tuned in to see their favorite stars.
