Anthapura is a Kannada tv serial telecast on Star Suvarna channel from Mondays to Saturdays. The timing is 7 PM onwards. This serial follows the romance of Sudeep and Sahana. Sahana, a young Mysore girl falls in love with Sudeep, the heir of the Veeragada. They marry each other secretly but have to face the wrath of Rudrani Devi, the ruthless matriarch of the family.
With almost six seasons on the air and more than a hundred episodes, this show is also broadcast on Hotstar. Sushil and actress Amita played the roles Sudeep and Sahana respectively. This serial is full of drama, romance, and of course the sadistic Rudrani Devi. Rudrani Devi is someone you shouldn’t be on the bad side of. But Sahana has. So Rudrani leaves no stone unturned in making her life a living hell. She punishes and torture Sahana at every point she can. She is one hell of a bossy woman whom everyone in that household has to abide by. She has created her set of rules upon which the Veeragada household works. Sudeep manages to help Sahana every time and their love remains alive despite the circumstances. They are not even allowed to meet at night, so they meet secretly.
This serial is full of ups and downs and shows the difficulties true love has to face at every point of their life. Love is just the start. Most of the journey is still left.
