Plot

Raji is a sincere housewife who supports her husband’s dream of getting a job in Germany by running a simple tiffin service. Mala, who wants her daughter to get a good education, helps Raji’s business. Their small business becomes notable when Shahida joins them, favouring to expand their business. But she is a broker in the drug empire. Raji’s mother-in-law becomes a strategist in their business. Meanwhile, a failed clothing brand owner, Varuna, joins them to improve her finances. Though it was started as an innocent business to support a husband, the business transformed into a power game. What will happen next? The rest of the series speaks about the intervention of power-hungry people.

Star Performance

Shabana Azmi’s performance is classy, and she is impressive even without dialogue. Nimisha Sajayan is excellent in the role of Mala. She is very natural in her performance and looks. Shalini Pandey is good, and Anjali Anand adds beauty to her character. Jyothika is quite decent in the role of Varuna. Gajraj Rao, Lillete Dubey, Jisshu Sengupta, and Bhupendra fit well in their roles and have done a good job.

Analysis

The film speaks about various classes and backgrounds of people who unite in the Dabba business. There are backstories for each character, and the star cast is quite impressive, too. Though the backstories are good, they are stretched a bit. This stretch is balanced when the women are back into the power game. The cinematography is wonderful. The busy streets of Mumbai are captured well. The music is decent, and the editing should’ve been better.
