This show was a fictitious comedy series based on the God-devotee relationship between Lord Vishnu and sage Narad. There are other mythological characters named Parvati, Saraswati, Brahma, Mahadeva, and other devas. It is a rare combination on TV which blends religious beliefs with humorous skits. The show was well-liked by children and their families for depicting moral values and valuable teachings. Children also learned about their religious mythologies in a light-hearted manner. The story illustrates the mischievous acts of Narad across the celestial and earthly realms. His character was the prime devotee of the Lord Vishnu. Sometimes, he also got jealous of other devotees.
Natkhad Narad was also a messenger of Devas. As his personality, he used to set up the tone of the messages to be delivered, which caused chaos. His humble and curious personality is a depiction of an ordinary human being. His connection with our Palankarta, Bhagwan Vishnu, is a way to encourage people into spirituality. He used to sing prayers, hymns, and mantras. He carried a Khartal ( musical instrument )and a Veena with him. He had the power to travel anywhere in the world. He is known for his intellectual abilities.
