True Blood is an American television drama series which had been created by Alan Ball. This show had been based on Charlaine Harris’s series of novels, ‘The Southern Vampire Mysteries’. Jace Everett had composed the theme music for this show. This show had been produced by the production companies ‘Ball’ and ‘Your Face Goes Here Entertainment’. This show received a great applause for its first five seasons. All the seven seasons have been broadcasted on HBO. This show belongs to fantasy horror genre. This tale dealt about the co-existence of human beings and vampires in a fictional town named Bon Temps in Louisiana.

The main protagonist of this serial is Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress at Merlotte bar. The third season of True Blood had been broadcasted between June 13, 2010, and September 12, 2010. Following the events of the earlier seasons, Sookie Stackhouse goes in search of Bill Compton. She goes to Eric for help. Sam Merlotte goes in search of his parents in Arkansas. The vampire queen of Louisiana visits Eric Northman, the sheriff of the vampire town. Meanwhile, Bill escapes from his captors and enters to Mississippian territory. There he faces the Vampire King of Mississippi, Russell Edgington, who always wanted to capture Louisiana. Sookie, who is still in search of Bill moves to Mississippi along with a werewolf named Alcide. Bill tells Sookie that he has broken up with her.

Sookie, along with Alcide meets Colonel Flood, who insists them to stay away from Russell and his werewolves. Jason starts working as a cop and starts loving Crystal Norris. Bill goes to meet Sookie, where Russell catches them. Soon Russell tries to kill them, but they escape with help. Tara saves Bill from Lorena who has violently assaulted him. Bill feeds on Sookie’s blood to revive himself, and this eventually makes Sookie go into coma. Bill is eager to know about Sookie’s secret. In his dream, Bill meets Claudine who tells him that Sookie is a faerie.

Crystal tells Jason that she is a were-panther. Jason confesses to Tara that he was the one who killed Egg. Later Russel and Eric stop Bill and Sookie and take them to Fangtasia. They drink Sookie’s blood, which would give them a power that would allow they to ‘day walk’. Sookie saves Eric from drying in the sunlight. After that Eric and Bill bury Russell, when he’s still alive. This season ends with Sookie accepting Claudine’s invitation to join faerie world.
