Rachel Lang and James Griffin are the creators of the New Zealand based comedy-drama TV serial, The Almighty Johnsons. The production giant, South Pacific Pictures are the producers of the serial. Kelly Martin, James Griffin, Chris Bailey, Rachel Lang and John Barnett, are the executive producers of the show. It has three seasons, with each season containing twelve episodes. Simon Benett is the chief producer of The Almighty Johnsons. The host has a runtime of forty-seven minutes, which is similar to most of the popular and high rated shows around the world. TV3 was the authorized channel to air the show in New Zealand. It was the first network to air the show anywhere in the world.
In December 2009, NZ On Air gave the green light to the producers to start the production of the series. In June 2011, a second season of the comedy show was approved. On 15 October, the last season of the show was decided to be produced. First time, when it was announced that the the show would be canceled, there was massive protests from the fans from all over the world. Complaints were written to the TV3 network. The fans wanted their beloved show. It were the actors of the serial who had given this information to the fans via Twitter. Mark Caulton, TV3 Programming Boss, announced on live radio that the show has been canceled and will not be renewed. Although the series was widely popular among the millennials, the show never received many nominations at award functions.
In Season 2, Frigg is still being searched for. Several new things will be explored and Axl, the youngest sibling, is on process of self-analysis. He must become “Odin”.
