A reality show, Jersey Shore took became a favourite of viewers all around the globe. It aired on MTV, a channel possessed by Viacom Media Networks. Its broadcast took place from 3rd December 2009 to 20th December 2012. Its concept revolves around the lives of eight people who while away their summer at the place synonymous with the name of the show, i.e. Jersey Shore. The following seasons portrayed their journey in various corners of the world. In season two, they spend their winter in Miami Beach, Florida.

Well, they get back to Jersey Shore for season 3 and escape to Italy for season 4. Seaside Heights, New Jersey was the base for season 5. The latter replaced the former. LMFAO, who gained fame for its electronic dance music, gave the title track for the show. It goes by the name 'Get Crazy'. On popular demand, several remakes of the show sprang up in different countries. The United Kingdom solely holds two versions of the show; one called Geordie Shore based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England; and the other running by the name The Valleys set in Cardiff, Wales.

The remake brought forward by Spain, called Gandía Shore, portrays the life in Gandía, Spain. Season 1 had nine episodes, season 2, 3 and 6 had thirteen episodes each; season 4 has twelve and season 5 had eleven. The total number of episodes of all the seasons combined sums up to seventy-one! The house used in this show is now named Jersey Shore House. For the filming of the show, this house possessed thirty-five remote-controlled cameras. In addition to that, the crew members used twelve handheld cameras. For viewers who could not catch the series during its broadcast period, the show makers released DVDs as well.
