Madam Secretary is an American TV political drama series, created by Barbara Hall, that aired on the channel CBS. It ran for a total of six seasons. The first season had 22 episodes, the second and third seasons had 23 episodes, the fourth season had 22 episodes, the fifth season had 20 episodes, and the sixth season had 10 episodes. The lead role of Elizabeth Adam McCord is played by Tea Leoni.
The show revolves around Elizabeth Adam McCord, a former CIA analyst, and a political science professor. When the Secretary of State dies in an accident, Elizabeth is appointed for that position and is trained by the President of the United States himself. With her analytical and diplomatic skills, experience, and quick thinking, she helps the state overcome many International threats and saves the country on multiple occasions. The first five seasons of the show display how she managed her professional and personal life. At the end of the fifth season, she announces that she would be running for President. She wins the elections. The sixth season focuses on how she runs the country and looks after her children at the same time.
