The series was first released on 19th August and continued up until 22nd December 2022. The story revolves around the concept of prison and the injustice often done to the prisoners. The series also focuses on the heinous crimes that can often alter the past, present, and future depending on the trickery used by mortal humans often in search of power, and how these crimes bear the wrath of God at the end of the day.

The first season revolves around the mystery of a prison cell with the number 145 in Akashnagar Jail which is a prison in Bangladesh. The cell has been closed since 1971 or so it was known. However, things take a mysterious turn when authorities catch the footage of a mysterious woman with a burqa wandering the corridors of the prison at night. After this, the prison warden Mostak Ahmed eventually discovers that there is a prisoner inside that cell. Everyone gets highly disturbed by this strange occurrence because that prison cell was considered to be empty to date because of its supposedly cursed number which holds some sort of biblical or religious reference.

The senior authorities decide to break the lock of the prison cell and enter it. When interrogated, as to how the prisoner came to be in that particular cell, the supposedly mute prisoner slyly hinted that he had been imprisoned since 1771 for killing Mir Jafar and had since been transferred to different prisons at various times including Kala Pani Jail which stirs another round of suspicion. As Mostaf decides to dig deeper into the prisoner's history he finds out that his name is David Adam. As the episodes progress several dark secrets are revealed as to how the events since the assassination of Mir Jafar took place and how much injustice has taken place.

The depth of secrets and unnatural occurrences increase in the prison. As the secrets entwine with each other and the past comes to haunt the present several myths and superstitious beliefs pave the way to emotional vulnerability and the fear of the unknown. Whether Mostaf gets to the bottom of the pit and if he is able to decide David Adam is what constitutes the rest of the episodes along with providing several religious references to give the series a deeper meaning.
