Simana Periye is a Bengali spy-thriller drama TV show on Sun Bangla that premiered on 3 February 2019 and ended on 25 August 2019. The show is also available on MX Player.
Set in 1971 in the war-stricken East Pakistan, this show is about the journey of a young woman, Padma as an Indian spy. She gets installed as a governess in the house of the Information and Broadcasting Minister of East Pakistan.
On the way, she falls in love with the minister's son and faces a dilemma whether to choose her love or her motherland. Her loyalties get tested at every step of the way, and she does not always make the right choice. There is only one season with 202 episodes, and each episode is 20-24 minutes long.
