. The story focuses on a young woman named Nira who undergoes several heart-wrenching losses one by one. First, she loses her sister who commits suicide because of her pregnancy and then she loses her father who couldn't take the shock of it all.
Nira’s sister was discovered to be pregnant with the child of Nira’s lover Dipak, which resulted in immense guilt and it was unbearable for her to continue living. This reason resulted ultimately in her committing suicide out of guilt and shame. Nira’s father, Madhusudan Babu, dies of a heart attack after a few days because of the shock of losing his daughter. Suffering through the days life goes on for Nira.
However, her life takes a turn when Bijit re-enters her life. Bijit is a young man born in a poor family. He was brought up and raised by Nira’s father as his own son. What does Bijit’s return signify and what this means for Nira, constitutes the rest of the serial.
