Vasool Rani is a Tamil reality television show. The show falls under the very popular genre of reality game shows. This is a hugely popular genre in which various participants are selected to take part in the game and are then made to compete with each other in different rounds of the show. The participants are scored based on their performances in each round. The one with the lowest points will be eliminated from the show. Like this, the show has several rounds after which only a few get a chance to participate in the finale of the show in which the one who gets the highest score wins the show and takes home the prize of the show. Game shows have become hugely popular for the reason that viewers can simply imagine themselves playing in the show as most of the contestants are commoners. 

 Vasool Rani is one such game show that has a very unique and innovative concept. The show is an all-female game show. The show has been divided into three rounds. In the first round, each participant is given 1000 points. They all have to answer questions but before that, they have to bid on the answer of their choice with however many points they want. They also have to choose between three racks of goodies for bidding. If they get the answer right, they will keep all the goodies and will get to continue with the show and if they get the wrong answer, they will lose all the points they bid. The one with the lowest points in their hand will be eliminated. The second round is more difficult than this. In this, if the participant gets the right answer, their points will be doubled and if they get the wrong answer their points will be taken away. In this round too, the one with the lowest score will lose the game. The third round is a buzzer round in which the remaining contestant will have no limitations regarding the bidding. They can bid as much of their points as they want. If the player who has bid the highest gets the right answer, her points will be doubled and she will get the prize. At the end of three questions, the one with the highest score will take away the grand prize.

The last round is tough as in this contestants have to bid the highest without any restrictions and that too, solely based on the clues that the host gives. The show only selects five contestants. The show Vasool Rani airs on the popular Tamil channel, Vijay TV.
