The Practice is an American legal drama that focuses on the lives of the associates and partners of a c law firm. The show premiered on ABC on March 4, 1997, running for eight seasons.
The theme focuses on the relationship between legal ethics and personal morality on the various characters while also being dashed with some light comedy. The show focuses on the law firm Robert, Donnel and Associates and follows them as they tackle various high-profile cases. The entire shows run constituted of 168 episodes each of a runtime of 44 minutes.
Intended as a rebuttal to L.A. Law which romanticized the American judicial system was met with critical acclaim and given a sequel. The Practice was nominated and awarded many times including at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, Peabody Award and, the Screen Actors Guild Awards to name a few.
